The Recipe of YOU! The recipe of YOU
Let’s face it, we are all such creatures of habit. We do the same thing day in and day out basically on auto pilot. Have a look at the shape your in, be it good, bad or ugly, you can safely assume that it’s the result of your lifestyle habits over the last year, 5 years, 10 years etc.
The thing to remember is that most people don’t get out of shape by living on junk food and lying on the lounge like Homer Simpson (although that is true for some). Most people get out of shape by the unconscious eating of a few bikkies here, a glass of wine there and the kilos creep on really slowly over time. Before you know it, you wake up and you don’t recognize the body in the mirror.
Think of it like a recipe - Combine the ingredients
· what and how much you eat and drink
· how much you move
· how much you exercise and what type
· your genetics
· your age
· how much stress you are under
· how much you sleep
Mix all of the ingredients together, cook it up and you get YOU. If you are totally happy with the shape you are in GREAT, keep doing exactly what you are doing. But if you want to make some changes, you need to change the ingredients. Obviously there are some things on the list that you can’t change. But there is a whole lot there that you can alter and improve on in a BIG way. You can make some small changes such as adding in half to 1 hour of movement / exercise a couple of times a week, or maybe make some small changes to your nutrition.
That will work, but you will get small results and you will have to be very patient – Think up to 3 months for 1 kg weight loss. That is assuming you haven’t slipped up with any of the other ingredients in that time.
So how about taking massive action and dramatically changing lots of things on your ingredient list. Really kick start that body of yours into shape once and for all. Make big changes to lots of ingredients
· add in the correct type of exercise 2 – 4 x per week
· change your nutrition so your body automatically burns fat as fuel
· get enough sleep
· stress less and feel in charge of your body and your life
· don’t put in all the toxins and rubbish that you know makes you feel like rubbish
